In Mongolia, they are working hard to develop a roadmap for nuclear program and the human resource plan.  Nuclear energy utilization and role of academia are discussed in the academia under the leadership of National University of Mongolia (NUM).  Tokyo Institute of Technology is supporting their activities granting requests of Mongolian leaders.
The Rector of NUM, Prof. Davaa will visit TokyoTech and make a lecture on “Nuclear Energy Program in Mongolia” on March 8 (Mon.).

Recently India attracts world strong attention on their rapid economic growth and unique nuclear energy program. India is also remarked on their unique education system. There is no Department of Nuclear Engineering in Indian Universities, but excellent education is undergoing there. Prof. Doshi is a professor in Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and will make a presentation on Education and Research in Nuclear Engineering in India.

In Mongolia, nuclear energy utilization and role of academia are discussed in the academia under the leadership of National University of Mongolia (NUM).  Tokyo Institute of Technology is supporting their activities granting requests of Mongolian leaders including President and Prime Minister.

Five members of Mongolian group will visit Japan under this program from 29 March to 2 April, 2009. We will have joint meeting of Mongolian committee and Japanese committee on 31 March to exchange mutual information and discuss future activities.
Since the morning session "Nuclear Energy R&D and Educations in Mongolia” presented by Mongolian delegates may be interesting for many others than our original members, we will open this session for public as a CRINES seminar.
